"We are Mike and Kimberly — a dynamic couple and proud parents of five sons, all with growing families of their own. Life is a bit chaotic, but we wouldn’t have it any other way! After years of thriving in the corporate world as owners of a successful Dollar Rent-A-Car franchise, we were living the American dream.

However, as our business grew, so did our family. The demands of both left us yearning for more quality time together. In 2007, we made the tough decision to sell our franchise and pursue new opportunities.We turned to commercial and residential real estate, hoping to build a steady stream of repeat income.

Unfortunately, the economy had other plans, and the downturn quickly wiped out our investments. With our financial security shaken, we knew we needed a new direction. In 2009, we found that direction through an exciting partnership in the e-commerce consumer goods industry. The flexibility of this business allowed us to stay close to our family, enjoy the adventures life had to offer, and build a successful, sustainable income stream—without the overhead and stress of our previous ventures.

The first year of our new business provided the financial resources we needed, and it wasn’t long before we rediscovered our dreams. Today, we are filled with hope and confidence in our future. "Over 30 years ago, I made the bold decision to leave the structured world of education to become a work-from-home mom. I was driven by the dream of building something meaningful, both for my family and my future. Starting from scratch, I spent 15 years building a business in direct sales. That journey taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, entrepreneurship, and the price of traditional business models—constant overhead, inventory hassles, and little time to enjoy what mattered most: my family. Health challenges—like my chronic migraines and asthma, my son’s severe asthma, and my daughter’s allergies and eczema—opened my eyes to the impact of everyday products on our well-being. Now, I work from home on my terms, setting my own schedule, prioritizing my family, and building repeat income while working just 15–20 hours a week. I’m Scott and I served our country in the Air Force for eight years, and Shana’s father proudly served for 22 years.Our journey as entrepreneurs wasn’t always smooth. For many years, I dedicated myself to the world of interior design and event planning, thriving in my passion for creating beautiful, memorable experiences. However, life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This life-altering moment led me to make a critical decision: to work from home and focus on my health while building a future for my family. Over the course of my cancer journey, I underwent eight surgeries and faced countless obstacles. Yet, these experiences became my greatest teachers, instilling in me a profound sense of resilience, purpose, and gratitude.

Living in Mexico at the time, I later traveled to the United States for continued treatment and embraced the opportunity to legally relocate myself & my business. "My name is Sandy,  My hope in sharing my story is that it will inspire just one person to dream big. I am one of 7 children, the experience of growing up in a large family helped me to realize my true independence and desire to beat to my own drum. Directly out of high school I began my journey in corporate America with a large cosmetic company located in the Big Apple. I was attracted to the glitz and glamour, but was not a fan of clocking in and the mundane 9 to 5.

After a few years, I left that company to a much slower paced environment that offered more independence. That is the time that I met my husband and soulmate. I married the love of my life at a young age, and shortly after we began our family. Returning to corporate America while raising children was not an option for me.

Through the years I dabbled in several  businesses and even ran a daycare from my home. In March 2008, through a random phone call, a total stranger reached out to me and asked me if I would be open to looking at a business that he and his wife had successfully built for 15 years. He talked to me about the time freedom he had and his lavish lifestyle. Something that I longed for and definitely didn't have with my demanding business. 

I was so intrigued yet very skeptical. The more we spoke in that 30 minute conversation, the more intrigued I became. Hesitantly I agreed and that stranger showed up on our doorstep two days later. Our lives have never been the same. We were literally living the American dream.

We had time freedom and owned our own schedule, we were both at home for our family, there was no financial worry or burden, and we were enjoying life traveling and spending time with our children. Life was so good… Until it wasn't!! In early 2018, my dear husband was diagnosed with an aggressive disease. We were all in shock thinking how could this be happening to us? I immediately put my business on a shelf and our children and I spent the next 12 months doing everything humanly possible to help cure his body. Our perfect world was turned upside down.

During the most tragic time of our lives, my business paid us month in and month out. Never once did we need to worry about bills being paid or how to put food on the table. My income never took a hit and our check showed up like clockwork every month. Sadly, on Dec 30, 2018, 11 months after being diagnosed, my wonderful husband took his last breath.  He passed with peace knowing we would be OK. 

Today, life is very different than how I imagined it would be. My four children are grown in and I am a GiGi to nine beautiful children. It is one of my favorite roles in life. I sold my beautiful home where we raised our family and relocated within minutes of our children and their families. Life is full and through it all, I have learned to be extremely grateful for the many blessings. 

My new norm is spending as much time as possible with my kids and grandkids while locking arms and helping as many people as possible to own their own future!!"
